Baptiste is a spin-off of The Missing, which sees Tchéky Karyo reprise his role as stubborn French detective Julien Baptiste, who becomes embroiled in a case in Amsterdam’s seamy underworld. Here the chief of police – who happens to be an ex-girlfriend – seeks out his renowned crime-solving skills. Jessica Raine and Tom Hollander also star. Watch the trailer here. Russian Doll

Russian DollAwkward small talk, obnoxious guests, red wine spilled on the carpet… we’ve all been to a bad party that you just can’t wait to leave – but not one like this. Co-created by Natasha Lyonne, Amy Poehler and Leslye Headland, with an all-female writing and directing team, the series features Nadia (Natasha Lyonne) as the guest of honour at a seemingly inescapable party in New York City. The Groundhog Day-style premise sees Nadia die repeatedly, only to wake in front of a bathroom sink, unharmed. But there’s a twist – Nadia meets someone who might be going through the same thing. Greyzone 

Greyzone follows the events that lead up to a terror attack in Scandinavia. It stars Birgitte Hjort Sørensen as software engineer Victoria, who meets reporter lyad on a business trip abroad. But the interview quickly turns into a dangerous situation, as Victoria and her son Oskar are taken hostage. Iyad’s accomplices have singled out Victoria to gain access to vital components to facilitate the attack, but when anti-terror police discover her desperate situation, they force her to become a double agent to gain insight into her captor’s terror network. Lorena  

This four-part documentary series executive produced by Jordan Peele (Get Out), re-investigates the painful human tragedies buried at the heart of the notorious case of Lorena Bobbitt, who in 1993 made headlines around the world when she cut off her husband’s penis while he was asleep in bed. Lost in tabloid coverage and late-night talk show jokes, the story was a missed opportunity for a discussion about domestic violence and sexual assault. The series claims to show how the case laid the groundwork for the modern 24-hour news cycle and increasingly sensationalistic media coverage. Watch the trailer here. Safe Harbour 

This four-part Australian thriller begins with six friends from Brisbane setting off on a sailing holiday-of-a-lifetime to Indonesia, when they encounter a broken-down fishing vessel filled with refugees in the Timor Sea, only a day away from their destination. Rather than alert Indonesian authorities, the friends come to the aid of the group. But the encounter leads to a series of events that change their lives forever. Watch the trailer here. The Umbrella Academy 

On the same day in 1989, scores of infants are inexplicably born to unconnected women who weren’t pregnant the day before. Wealthy entrepreneur Sir Reginald Hargreeves adopts some of the children and prepares them to save the world – but not everything goes according to plan. Based on a comic book series by My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way, this live-action adaptation stars Ellen Page, Tom Hopper and Robert Sheehan, part of a dysfunctional family of superheroes who reunite to solve a mystery surrounding their father's death, under the imminent threat of a global apocalypse. Miracle Workers 

Based on Simon Rich’s book What in God’s Name, the comedy is set in the offices of Heaven Inc, where God (Steve Buscemi) decides to retire, destroy Earth and fulfil his lifelong dream of opening a restaurant. Upon hearing the news, low-level angels responsible for handling all of humanity's prayers Craig (Daniel Radcliffe), and colleague Eliza (Geraldine Viswanathan) try to convince their boss to reconsider blowing up the planet by betting they can pull off their most impossible miracle yet: helping two humans to fall in love. Season one of the gritty Italian crime thriller set in Rome explored how the Church, the state, gangs and property developers collide and blur the lines between the legal and the illicit in their thirst for power.
